Hamachi Play [TUTO]

Post by alacer on Mon 17 Nov 2008, 18:59

i wasn't sure about where to post this, so if it doesn't belong, i can allways move it.

As i sugested before (in my "hi there =D" post) i wanted to know if you guys are intrested in playing some games via hamachi, for the ones who maybe doesn't know, hamachi is (in realy simple words) a little program that allows the user to create artificial Local Area Networks online, like a simple way to create a mini-server or a lan emulator if you like... the good thing about this is that you can configure it with diferent protocols, like IPX, and play old games like the original doom or the first Diablo online, i have no problem at all in making a simple tutorial on how to install it and create a room for clan members to join and play a little bit, but before that i want to know if there are sombody intrested in that kind of idea =D

So... I'll wait for responses Giant Grin
EDIT [Sath] : Sticky + tuto paste

http://rapidshare.com/files/164726026/HamachiSetup-1.0.2.5-es.exe

it's really simple, all you have to do is run the setup, select directory etc... the only thing you have to be aware of is this, remember to DEACTIVATE the option for hamachi to allow users to see your shared files, this prevents others from entering your pc via the network n_n, after the installing is complete go to the trianle like button in hamachi window (after it finishes verifing) and click "join existing network" then copy and paste network and password provided by s3rius

Room Name Clan ZKS
Password Clan ZKS (watch for capitalization)

after that you go into your game and join/create via LAN multiplayer, if any of you guys need a more detailed tuto, with images and stuff just post and i'll make it

GG Client - or Garena. http://www.garena.com/portal/
Something like hamachi, just bigger and with more features. Let's say a combo of hamachi and msn.

Garena is an annoying program. And hamachi is only good when you want to play, all you need is Lancraft, write in the person that's hosting i.p and it comes up in lan. But nethermind that.
