about how girls are often annoyed by jerks who don't believe that the other sex can like their games, therefore there can not be girls on the internet... so any girl playing their game do not exist...

That's some good reading. Specially the second one. I know a few girls on the intrawebz and I know bout' the problems they're facing.

Great articles. The first one describes exactly how I want mah games to be (you'll see that in DotD once we get closer to the grande finale .p).

The second is a perfect example of the stupid, premature mass of the interwebz.

I remember the days when I played Silkroad (a MMORPG, similar to WoW, but free and less stupid). I've had two friends there and we played together A LOT. One of them was a girl, one a guy.
We got our own guild up running and recruited some (male) members.
One day we got a new promising recruit who turned out to be a girl and right away I got a whisper from my friend telling me to be careful that (s)he might be a fake and only tries to chip some items by saying that she's a girl.. well, in the end I can't recall that she ever asked for anything without paying it back and I think she was got into the Top5 of our most active members.

I can't understand all the ruckus about that.. I can't understand all the people going "PIC PLOXX" and I can't understand why it's even possible to get stuff for free just because you say you're a girl..

i can say i got at least 10 whispers in-game asking if "it" was a girl....
every single one of them, i replied with the article's name "there is no girls on teh interwebs"
and then i try to explain to them: "what the hell will it change if it's a girl?"
a DOTD player is someone who plays DOTD and enjoys it... being a girl or a boy is totally irrevelant... and no matter how hard you try, you can't have sex on the internet....

it's also a lot like the age and location of someone.... age doesn't matter, it only matters that you are mature enough to be somehow polite to other people.... and location only matters if you lag...

therefore, when i'm asked A/S/L, i answer:
old enough/never enough/in front of my computer

Great reads. I'm rather a fan of the first article now ... Just something about making that last stand I can never get enough of. Anymore I can't help but just laugh that people still think "there is no girls on teh interwebs"

Being that said... Most people consider Lesbians being gay, I don't know why but people still use the word for men and women..

But in saying that.. wen u think about it.. Who actually knows if there isnt many girls in the "gameing net".. But i do care in playing games and having a good time in doing so.. so i say to everyone give them a go it doesnt matter about ur sex.. as long as u can play a video game.

it's not htat they pretend that they are men... it's that they don't say that they are women...

it is assumed that everybody is male in games unless stated otherwise.... and if you don'T state that you're a women, you're not saying you're a man... people just assumed that you're a man
