i think it's a piece of shit game
90% of the guns you find are trash
out of that 90% of those guns are too flawed to be useful, like a sniper without a scope or a shotgun with a 4x scope...
the skills points are mostly useless
if you don't have an auto-healing shield, you'll always be running for life
ammo is hard to find, you have to buy it way too often
hoarding weapons around to sell them feels useless
the inventory system and comparison system are flawed... finding your own good guns are always a chore
running back and forth is damned annoying
it's a FPS, not a goddamned MMORPG so stop making me kill 10 enemies and come back like a WoW player!
the story is extremely thin
for a weapon-finder dream game, you get to keep the same guns for way too long, i've had my 2nd revolver for at least 10 levels without finding anything better for a long time
most upgrades lines on the weapons are just not making sense, you got no clue what they do(the ones in red)
the world is empty and boring
why use guns on the vehicles if you can just run over enemies? (except against other vehicles)
menus are made for consoles are just suck for PC...
a damned minute of sponsor and publishers and shit at the beginning that is FUCKING UNSKIPPABLE is annoying

Actually I like the VATS. I only used it when I deemed it necessary, though. As a first attempt of a Fallout FPS I thought it was alright, but not great. I would love to see weapon customization and more variety in the next Fallout, though.

really, it's not a good fallout game, even tactics is better than Fallout 3...

I think it caught the feeling of Fallout pretty well. Most perks and traits were well implemented, there is no skill I remember which was pointless. The enemies scaled nicely, you had a lot of interesting missions and cool characters. The buying/selling was a little flawed, as you almost never bought something (esp. as a proficient thief as I was ).
The half-destroyed cities looks great, with many places to venture to, a lot of little easter eggs, much more love to details than you'd see in any FPS and more than in most RPGs.
