For some reason i got a weird split in the middle of the game.

yeah I have the other .. erm.. half I suppose you could say of what happened in the game.. after he dies re revive him and actually go on a bit farther but he lost total control of his hero.. however he was still talking to us .. which is odd for a split.. many members dropped from this game the_Underhand being one of them.. I've never seen him drop before..

When he did an error message came saying "DeSync" or something like that.. which could possibly be the reason Mean was seeing things we were not in the same game.. Kinda a cool concept though lol

I just watched the replay myself, and its weird.. it recorded things as it was from the rest of the guys point of view. On my screen it was completely different.

This happened to somebody in an NotD game. The dude was talking to us, but couldnt control his guy and wasnt even in the game we were in.

He talked about DeSynching like it happened more than once.

Desynching is a known problem which usually has 2 causes:
1) Can be caused by the improper use of certain functions within the map.
2) Can be caused when the host loses connection to several other players. One of these other players' computers will try to become host for the others, resulting in splitting up the game.

There was a time where desynching was a big problem for DotD, but I've fixed that several versions ago (thanks again to the guys who devoted so many weeks for helping me find the error).
I guess the desynch in this case was simply caused by an interuption of the host's connection to the other players.

hmm alright, then it was just a freak accident. Nothing to really worry about I suppose lol
