By pressing on ability "Ammunition Count" it works twice. Like if you type -help officer twice.
Both icons were working.
In the start i've loaded, didn't wait for promotion message and picked right before it.
Don't remember exactly, but i think so.

maybe you should start with how the heck you got to the GEN rank and it may shed some light on this problem

I think this affects only classes that doesn't require rank (Rifleman, Medic, Scout).
Probably, this problem is fixed already. I know theres a bug with "Genereal ranks icon". So two icons could be just another effect of this bug.

The bug for the star medal was that it simply did not change from the previous rank as officer.

As for you being a GEN, I have been playing dotd quite actively the past seven months or so and I don't know who you are. This is why I am skeptical about your load code, which I know can cause problems with gameplay when it is not achieved normally.

I have seen this double icon before, and I have a screen shot of it as well. But my circumstances are quite different than yours.

you could search his nickname in your database file of the ghost... see if he ever joined one of your games before....

i know that he never joined one of mine for sure... he never even joined any of my games i played before i started using the bot (not in my wc3banlist database)

i will check, but even if he has joined I would want to see him play before I even began to consider the validity of his rank.

I understand your position guys, since i became a general pretty fast.
That's why i'll try to "prove" my "legitimacy".

I've played with DarkSath's bot on europe. Even played one of the games with some of you guys, as i remember: alimoe or alimoe_ (medic) (he was red and probably he was hosting this game) (had 51-55k xp at that time), spinnentier (engi as i remember) (general), nubcake (2LT or 1LT), dingdong23 (gen) (he also was there as i remember, since there was two generals in the game or that's was DarkSath because i don't know his actual nickname and didn't remember it), one guy from pub...that's all i remembered. We've played nightmare mode, finished the game, died at coons (walked up right corner), i've been playing rifleman.
One of the guys decided to become a mini-rifle, i don't know why, but he didn't want to play normal classes, he had high xp too as i remember, probably he was close to BG or MG (thats the one's nickname i didn't remember, one of other guys said smth like: "why did you join if you don't want to play?").
As i remember one of the guys were disconnected or smth.
We were low on damage classes, i remember as guys gave me TA Assistant.
Someone was kidding @ nubcake or someone else like ("nubcake wash my car" or "wash nubcake's car").
The game have been played in 2009 december as i remember.
alimoe tried to grab spare parts and died.
I did a backup as you guys adviced here on the forums (send a code by e-mail to yourself), so i got my COL code.

I just finished a game with him, he knows how to play. I recant my theory of a hacked code causing this problem.

On a happier sidenote I maybe re-enlisting in DOTD again as I've been playing the last few nights on an alternate account and my connection seems to be holding
so in those famous words Lock and Load.

However I can only find my 1sgt rank..So it's back to the grindstone for meh

How to undo the Star bug? I'm BG now, but i saw it only during the game i promoted that it changed. In the game that i loaded my BG code, it changed to the 1 Stripe. Will it change back when i get to my Next rank?

s3rius said its fixed in beta 8, but you can pick rifleman, medic or scout and THEN load a code.

As far as the code thing, it happened to me when I used a save code from a beta test in version 8 in the already released version beta 7. Once I used a save code from beta 7, I no longer had two officer icons.

Oh yea it's happened before more than once ... but before I had to start over from Pvt.
